Hi :)

In the last two years, this community obviously died, but I would like to see it again.

If you would like to play online games like counterstrike, ut2004 or 2003, or even openttd with me, please contact me over icq (148858730) or jabber ().

It would be cool to see this community alive again!

I'm sorry to hear that. xlib isn't a member I'm familiar with, what game is this in... UT2004, ET, AA?

About how things are run. This isn't your normal clan. Gentoo is a linux distribution, and the [gen2] tag is something users of that os can use to find each other. This site was set up for those who regularly play together and want to play more organised games.

Maybe next time you could point him here so he can expain why he's giving us a bad reputation. It appears we're a victim in this too.

I don't know how you guys run your clan, but obviously it's pretty shoddy. Xlib follows me around in *every* map on *every* server and intention team wounds, kills and blinds whenever possible.

You *all* have a mouth, and I'll admit I react and play with it, but words and actions are two different things. You can do what you please with this, but this member is a serious asshole.. and at that not a very good player.

Thought you've been quiet recently. Congratulations on the new job! The sign on the building on this page - http://www.jazzey.com/unternehmen/index.html - it looks like it's been photoshoped ;)

I installed Windows XP Home in Qemu, that was pretty cool. Playing around with vb.net 2005 in it. Must admit, I am a little curious about vista considering I make a living from MS software.

Yeah, got me right

Things I tried during last few months:

ubuntu
kubuntu *shrug*
debian (hell, sid is *really* unstable!)
FreeBSD (rocks on servers, really!)
OSX (right now there's a mac mini on my desk, brought it home from work to have a nice toy to abuse this weekend)
Windows XP, Windows Vista Preview

Nice list eh?

Don't dig too far into those systems, the one I'm using right now is good old gentoo linux

Yes, as mentioned before I'm back to teh roots, running gentoo where ever possible.

This is how things started:

I've got a new job sine one month. The company is named Jazzey, a small software factory in Salzburgm Austria (yeah, that city that pissed on Mozart when he was alive, getting hysterical on beeing teeh Mozart city when he's dead for 200 years).
Our software built to monitor/report servers, servertasks and networks. Java app, runs on win, Linux and some UNIX flavours as well.
My job is second level support (officially), in fact I do sysadmin, supporter for customers, workers, management, installing new servers - well, a bunch of funny things.

Ok, I wanted to tell you about that gentoo thingie...

There is a really nice webapp called OTRS (open ticket request system). We use version 1.3, my task is to migrate stuff to another machine using version 2. Ok, here they come:

Fujitsu Siemens Primergy (must be VERY old), PIII 750, mylex SCSI RAID controller and some more stuff.

Short story:
debian didn't fscking install on this neat system, so I remembered "hell, there was something that I installed on every fscking HW I ever saw...
Now it's running gentoo, kernel 2.6.15, tests are ready for OTRS 2.

That was the time I reinstalled every linux machine I found...

More to come

Cheers

tcs

I also would like to join the clan.

I am far from being a hardcore gamer, I play only on occasion and all sorts of games.
